The Play

Another busy and hectic week. Tuckers first ever play was on friday. He did very well and he was surprised to find that he enjoyed himself. I can't say enough nice things about the Missoula Childrens Theatre (who are located in Missoula Montana) they did a wonderful production and all of the children had a great time.

After the play we went out for ice cream and took an obligatory driving in the car photo, as well as Mitch driving his truck.

We all had a wonderful evening, and then focused on packing. Saturday I drove all of the boys to Dallas Texas where they caught a flight to Washington State. Mitch has a football camp at WSU (Go Cougs!) and the other boys are hanging out with the family and enjoying a vacation from the southern heat. This is the first time all of the boys have gone together without me. Let me tell you at the airport I was very tempted to buy a ticket and jump on the plane with them. Not because I thought they would have any problems (Mitch has flown all over the country by himself) but I wish I could go too.
Oh well I guess someone has to work......

Weekend Events

Weekends around our house are always a hectic but fun time. Mitch and Snapp usually have tons of friends around and this weekend was no different. We had a barbecue on Friday night and Mitch was the grill master. He has actually taken over all grill duties at the house and I must say it is really nice to have the help with dinner. I also taught Courtney and Jackie (two friends of the boys) to make chicken pizza appetizers that I have made for the crew before and they love. The food turned out fantastic.

After the grill fest the boys all watched movies and played the WII.

So, while all of this was going on Tucker had his friend Hunter over to spend the night. The more the merrier. They had me laughing very hard. They found two frogs in the yard and Tucker loves to take care of animals so they put the frogs in a little frog habitat we have. Then they spent the rest of the night catching bugs for the toads to eat.

Yes they are trying to catch bugs with a broom...

Tucker and Hunter being silly...

Tucker kept the toads for one full day. I was busy cleaning when he came in with the toads in his hands and let me know he was releasing them. I took the pic so he would have a way to remember them. I am really glad he let them go on his own accord. Pretty great.

We never let a weekend pass without going to the pool. It is just too hot here. This time it was Tuck and Snapp. As usual, they had tons of fun.

With all of the boys activities it feels like every weekend is gone too quickly. Never a dull moment with all of the kids around.

Tucker All Dressed Up

My boys constantly make life a more interesting place to be. Tucker is in summer camp, and this week the Missoula Children's Theatre is here. They come to our center for a week and during that time do auditions and have the children perform a play. This year they are doing the Princess and the Pea. Tucker is playing the part of Pug. They are learning their parts all week with the big performance friday night. The play is always very well done. Tucker has been carrying around his folder with his script in it (orange) all week long. This morning he came out of his room (dressed as in the photo above shows) grabbed his folder and says "look I'm a lawyer". I burst into laughter and ran for the camera. I hope everyone has as good of a morning as I have had. (and yes he is at camp dressed as in the photo)

My Office

For those interested family members (CC) here are some pics of my office. Where the magic happens. Really this is just a post to annoy CC who has failed to update her blog and called to let me know she would do it today out of guilt. I really love to know I have the power to guilt trip my sister when I am 2000 miles away and do not call her on the phone. Very nice.....mental telepathy works so well between sisters.

Weekend events

Tucker had a fun run at summer camp Friday. It was a one mile run, and he asked if he could run an extra mile. He was so excited when he was awarded a medal.
This weekend Tucker and I spent alot of time at the swimming pool on base. He really loves to swim especially when its 90+ during the day and 70+ at night. Tuck also has been making paper air planes, they fly everywhere in the house including the light fixtures (see photo). I love his creativity and have resigned myself to putting out the candles for the duration of this phase.

Mitch and Snapp watched movies with friends this weekend as well as gaming themselves into an oblivion. They only surfaced for nourishment and to stretch. They told me they were resting up for football practice monday (I should give them credit all the boys helped clean the house sunday, with so many helpers we whipped it out quickly).

Photos

I am posting some photos that I have yet to share with anyone. The first photo is of Courtney (on the left) Mitch in the middle and Jeff to the right. I don't remember the name of the guy the on on the bottom (oops). Courtney and Jeff are good friends of Mitch. The photo is from Mitchels Ring Ding (the ceremony where he was presented with his class ring). Mitch was also in Track this spring, he did the discus and shot put, and finally some pics after the football games. Sorry for the poor quality but the lighting was non existant.

Baton Rouge & 1st Football Workout

Last night I returned from Baton Rouge. My friend and I went down to take care of some cases we are doing there. All went well. It is a pretty part of the country and the downtown area looks very similar (in a small way) to New Orleans. In between cases we stopped at a cafe for an iced coffee and sat outside and enjoyed the scenery. I love the ironwork on the balconies and all of the ferns. Very nice trip, but too short to have much fun, just work.
It is very hot here, mid 90s consistently. The nighttime temp does not drop to under the high 70s so no cool breeze. That is life in the south.
On a brighter note Mitch and Snapp both started football practice yesterday. Mitch is used to it so he did great as usual. Snapp had fun but he is not used to the heat here so he was a bit under the weather. They both relaxed last night. Both of the boys are ready to hit practice again today though.
Tucker is doing well and really enjoying summer camp. Today they are going on a field trip to the local science center. He loves science so today is his best day of the week.
